Recording of a new OST for Seasons

seasons-after-fall_project_fullGame Audio Factory has just completed the recordings of the OST of Seasons after Fall, a new project developed by our friends of Swing Swing Submarine.

Published by Focus Home Interactive, Seasons after Fall is an adventure/exploration game that allows you to travel around wonderful environments in 2D, coming with an enchanting soundtrack powered by GAF.

The recording took place on the 17th and 18th of June 2015 in the studio 180, with Arnaud Bascunana. Tracks have been directed and composed by Yann Van der Cruyssen, better known as Morusque and Nurykabe. The soundtrack was performed by John Veron and Laurent Pellegrino on violin, Jean-Philippe Morel on his viola along with Noé Natorp and Clara Germont on cello.

Mixing and Mastering will be carried out in our studio in Angoulême. We hope we can give you a taste of this production soon! Feel free to take a look at the pictures taken during the recording of the OST in the meantime.

The kickstarter’s project Umbra is funded !

Umbra KS CoverThe kickstarter’s project of SolarFall Games, Umbra, is now totally funded! With more than $400,000 collected over the $225,000 needed, this epic project is truly successful and Game Audio Factory is proud to contribute to it.

Daniel Dolui, Umbra‘s creator, and all the SolarFall Games team have written a thank-you letter on Kickstarter and shared great news:

Umbra has now become the most funded French game project on Kickstarter, and we can’t thank you enough for this!

The SolarFall‘s Team will now get back to developing the game and we wish them good luck for the hard weeks to come!

The Kickstarter campaign of Regalia is launched!

miniature_regaliaGame Audio Factory is supporting the development of a new independent studio. Now, it’s time to collaborate with the Pixelated Milk’s team who has started his kickstarter’s campaign for Regalia: of Men and Monarchs.

Regalia: of Men and Monarchs is a JRPG inspired by some of the best games in the genre; It offers a turn-based tactic combat system, a deep story which covers a large casting of characters with unique personalities and an artistic direction rarely seen in a Video Game.

Experience Divinity Original Sin on Console!

Battlefleet Gothic : Armada is Coming!

battlefleet-gothic-armada_2zr3 Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the famous tabletop game from Games Worshop adapted into a Real-Time-Strategy video game by Tindalos Interactive, unveils today its first video teaser.

The game stages the mighty armada of the Imperial Navy’s Battlefleet Gothic against the insidious and galaxy-threatening Chaos Black Crusade of Abaddon the Despoiler in dark, deadly and intense space battles from the Warhammer 40,000 universe. This first video teaser is a prelude to intense space combat in command of huge battle cruisers – true metal behemoths – several kilometers long and armed to the teeth.

Developed on Unreal Engine 4, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is an RTS in which the player takes command of one of these battlefleets composed of the most powerful spaceships from the Imperial, Chaos, Eldar and Ork forces, in a no-quarter given struggle for the control of the Gothic sector of space.

Styx: Master of Shadows – coming soon

Styx: Master of Shadows is an infiltration game with RPG elements from Cyanide Studio. GAF Team worked hard on this project – H-Pi handled music production and strings recording, Gery managed the integration and was Lead Sound Designer, and we finally recorded US voicing with the same cast as Of Orcs and Men, respecting the license. A making-of is in progress and the OST will be available in our bandcamp.

StyxAbout the game:

Guide Styx through the winding Tower of Akenash, home to a Treeworld, source of the Amber – a powerful golden sap filled with magical properties – prowling through the shadows with aide of a host of special abilities refined throughout Styx’s 200 years of history. Within the many hallways and levels of the Tower of Akenash, Styx must avoid the humans who’ve the ability to easily overpower him. With Amber running through his veins, what Styx lacks in might he more than makes up for with stealth, as the golden elixir – often heavily guarded – raises his perception, sharpens his senses, and even offers the ability to turn him invisible for short periods of time. Styx’s lust for the Amber produced by the Treeworld is matched only by Governor Barimen’s charge to protect it; with little help from Styx’s mysterious shadowy allies, it is our Goblin friend alone who can uncover the secrets of the tower.

Baseball bats, hordes of monsters and Mighty Rocket Launchers, this is what’s on the menu with today’s video! Final Exam, the pure 2.5D side-scroller drenched in blood and zany humor, developed by Mighty Rocket Studio for PC, Xbox LIVE® Arcade and PlayStation®Network, is presented in more detail through an explosive overview trailer.
Brutal Joe, one of the four playable characters of the game, tells us about all the ingredients composing the explosive cocktail Final Exam. Alone or in cooperative mode (4 players online and 2 in local play), you will have to survive the attacks of packs of monsters trying to skin you alive, while trying to complete original and varied objectives throughout huge, non-linear levels.

GAF represented at the FISM

GAF will be represented at the FISM by his CEO Vincent Percevault, on Tuesday 13 November 2012 afternoon, for a short talk on the « Multichannel sound & picture ratio » with Matthieu Parmentier, innovations & developments (France Télévisions) and Cécile Le Prado, composer and maître de conference (CNAM – ENJMIN)

This is our first participation to this interesting event initiated by Christian Hugonnet and dedicated to the multichannel and surround sound.

It takes place this year at the famous Radio France Studio 105, in Paris. We hope to see you there !

A Game Of Thrones RPG – Audio Review

Last month Game Of Throne RPG came out in Europe and we are happy to announce that our work has been well received so far !!

[FR] ” Un gros travail a été effectué sur le doublage français et le résultat s’en ressent. Les voix sont bien choisies, le ton est souvent juste et si certains doublages versent un peu dans la caricature, ils n’en demeurent pas moins le reflet des personnages. Les musiques, elles, se calquent sur les magnifiques compositions de Ramin Djawadi dont on retrouve d’ailleurs l’envoûtant thème d’ouverture.

[EN] ” Much has been done on the french voice over and the result is affected. The casting is good, the tone is often right even if sometimes a bit caricatural, it is nonetheless a reflection of the characers. The music is modeled on the magnificent compositions by Ramin Djawadi among which are found also the haunting opening theme. ”
